We are offering flexibility to customers travelling to/through or from Jamaica between 25th October 2025 - 12th March 2026  due to Tropical Storm Melissa.

This policy is to allow customers more flexibility in addition to the original fares rules

• Customers must advise of changes to their travel plans ahead of their travel date, or no-show policy will apply as per fare rules

• Travel is permitted on an earlier date, with no fees, if the date is within the guidelines of this bulletin

• Changing return travel date to maintain travel duration is allowed. Changes fees and fare difference charges are waived

• Fare difference must include all taxes/charges

• Itineraries must be rebooked on VS/VS* tickets

• Booking cancellations, refunds and downgrades are subject to the original fare rules, unless permitted by this policy – whichever is the most flexible

 If your customers flight has been cancelled please follow the Flight cancellations section of our  Schedule Change Policy 

- If your customers are due to travel to Jamaica, customers ticketed on IT fares (Inclusive Tour) are permitted a full refund for travel up to and including 23rd November 2025. Otherwise, please follow our rebooking policy below.

Customers that have commenced travel

Change fees are waived

Fare differences will apply unless the customer is rebooked on a direct Virgin Atlantic service to or from the US or Caribbean.

 

Example: Customers may be rebooked on VS flights from London Heathrow (LHR) to Atlanta (ATL), connecting on a VS* service to Kingston (KIN).

 

Customers that have not commenced travel 

Can be rebooked to another destination within the Caribbean, Cancun, or the Maldives on a Virgin Atlantic Airway operated flight.

·Travel must be on the same date as originally booked and ticketed.

Refund

For flight cancellations, the standard VAA Schedule Change policy applies.

 

Customers ticketed on IT fares (Inclusive Tour)

Customers that are ticketed using IT fares are permitted to refund bookings that are ticketed to travel up to and including 23rd of November 2025 for all other fares, standard fare rules apply

 

For all other fare types, no refund permitted unless fare rules allow

For date changes and refunds

Update the SI field with the following information:

Please reissue tickets to include endorsement:

Tickets must be re-issued on / before revised travel date

If your customers are currently overseas and their return flight has been cancelled due to Hurricane Melissa, please ensure they are registered as “Away From Home” as soon as possible.

You should continue to rebook affected customers in line with our current rebooking policy. However, registering customers as “Away From Home” allows us to identify those who remain stranded and ensures we can prioritise their return travel arrangements as soon as options become available.
