We are currently monitoring Hurricane Idalia, which is forecast to make landfall in Florida on Wednesday evening.

At this time, we expect our Miami and Orlando services to operate as scheduled, however we recommend that you regularly check www.virginatlantic.com for updates as we continue to evaluate the weather.

Following the close monitoring of forecasted weather and discussions with airport authorities, Tampa Airport have confirmed that they will close the airport on Tuesday 29th August and Wednesday 30th August 2023, which unfortunately means we have had to cancel the following flights.

Tuesday 29th August

  • VS129 London Heathrow - Tampa
  • VS130 Tampa – London Heathrow

Wednesday 30th August

  • VS129 London Heathrow - Tampa
  • VS130 Tampa – London Heathrow

 

We are offering customers travelling to, through or from Tampa, Orlando or Miami between 28 August and 31 August 2023, the flexibility to rebook their flight onto a different date.

 

This policy is to allow customers more flexibility in addition to the original fares rules

• Customers must advise of changes to their travel plans ahead of their travel date, or no-show policy will apply as per fare rules

• Travel is permitted on an earlier date, with no fees, if the date is within the guidelines of this bulletin

• Changing return travel date to maintain travel duration is allowed. Changes fees and fare difference charges are waived

• Fare difference must include all taxes/charges

• Itineraries must be rebooked on VS/VS* tickets

• Booking cancellations, refunds and downgrades are subject to the original fare rules, unless permitted by this policy – whichever is the most flexible
