Already booked and want to earn points?

If you have already booked, you can still add your Flying Club number to your booking before you fly and earn points. If your flight number starts with VS, you can add you Flying Club number via Virgin Atlantic Manage My Booking. If your flight number does not start with VS, head to the airline’s frequent flyer programme and add your Flying Club number to your booking.

Earning points:

If you're a member of one of our partner airlines' frequent flyer programmes, please note that you can only earn points in one scheme for any particular flight.

Points may only be earned on flights operated by Air New Zealand. Points will be issued to Flying Club members when travelling in the listed qualifying classes. Points will not be earned for travel in any other class not listed above.

Additional points will not be earned for bookings that are subsequently upgraded to a higher class whereby an additional fare difference is paid.

Please check our Terms and Conditions on earning points on codeshare flights with our partner airlines. Please note that Flying Club members will not be able to earn points when booked on the following VS Codeshare flights (operated by Air New Zealand).

Booking classes which do not qualify for accruals are U, M, E, Q, X, N & O on the following VS Codeshare flights:

All mileage levels are excluding passenger taxes, duties, fees, charges and surcharges.

Reward seats are subject to availability.

If a journey requires a connecting flight or stopover to reach the destination, points are charged for each sector.

Bookings must be made at least 48 hours before departure. Points must be redeemed from one account.

Missing points

When claiming points please keep all copies of your original tickets/e-tickets and boarding passes until the correct amount of points appear on your account. If the points do not show on your account within six weeks, please contact us to claim them back.
