How it works

  • Click the link below and pick the date and time you want and how many bags you want collected and pay Airportr directly.

  • Check in online for your flight via Virgin Atlantic – online check in opens 24 hours before your flight departure

  • Airportr will arrive at the agreed time and check your boarding pass and passport then seal and photograph your bags.

  • Airportr then take your bags to the airport and check them in for you. Once they are checked in you will receive a text confirming this with baggage tag images

What are the benefits?

  • Travel to the airport with just your hand luggage

  • No need to carry heavy sports equipment or bags

  • No need to go to the check in desks, simply head straight to the gate

Common questions about Airportr

Yes, you'll need to check-in online in the normal way.

In this scenario, Airportr will still collect your luggage but when they turn up let them know and they will arrange to meet you at the Virgin check in desks at Terminal 3 so you can check in at a desk with your bag

When Airportr hands over your bags to the Virgin Atlantic check in staff they will advise any bags that are additional or overweight. Airportr will then pay any amount that’s due and then email you with the details and documentation showing why there was a charge and reclaim this from your credit card.

You will receive an SMS from Airportr confirming the bags have been checked in and a personalised tracking link. You’ll also receive copies of your baggage receipts.

No, you will still need to collect your bags from the baggage carousel in the normal way.

Yes, anyone that is having a piece of luggage collected needs to be there when the driver collects.

You will need to show a passport and boarding pass (digital or printed) for each passenger that is having a bag collected.
