Airline loyalty programmes and tiers

Become a Flying Club Gold member in an instant, by proving you are in the top tier of one of the below airline loyalty schemes. You'll also need to have a future revenue flight booked with Virgin Atlantic in either Premium or Upper Class, and not have held a Flying Club status previously. 

Become a Silver member with proof you match a similar tier of one of the below airline loyalty schemes. You'll also need to have a future revenue flight booked with Virgin Atlantic, which can be in any cabin, and to not have held Flying Club status previously using status match.

To qualify for this offer, you must be an existing member of Flying Club, or enrol in the Flying Club programme online or via our Customer Centre. 

Proof of your other airline status must be provided. Once received, the Customer Team will review and advise the details of what status you are eligible for, and you will be notified of your new Flying Club status via email.

Your status will be upgraded 72 hours before your qualifying flight. Status matches are only valid if the member has their Virgin Atlantic flying club number entered into their qualifying booking.

Cancellation of your qualifying booking will result in your status match being cancelled and your status will revert to red.

Your Flying Club Gold or Silver membership will be valid from 12 months from the date the account is upgraded. 

Gold members will need to earn 1000 tier points in the membership period to retain Gold status. 

Silver members will need to earn 400 tier points in the membership period to retain Silver status. 

This offer is not available to Flying Club members who have previously held Flying Club Gold or Silver status via status match. This offer cannot be transferred to any other traveller. 

Virgin Atlantic reserves the right to withdraw the offer at any time if deemed necessary. Approval for the Gold and Silver membership is at the discretion of Virgin Atlantic.
