Bookings via Worldwide by easyJet are what we call self-connecting itineraries. In a nutshell this means:

  • The booking process won’t differ much from what you're used to. You'll have the option to choose from all possible itineraries. Once you've found something that works for you, go ahead and book it. 
  • You only have to pay once.
  • For added peace of mind, included in the price is Dohop Connect guarantee which covers you in case of a missed connection.
  • You'll receive 2 separate tickets – one for your Virgin Atlantic flight and one for your easyJet flight. 
  • Bear in mind that you need to enter the UK and clear customs when self-connecting at Gatwick, which means you'll need to be eligible to enter the country. So make sure you have the relevant visas to hand.

You'll need to check in for both flights individually. You should've received two booking references – one for your Virgin Atlantic flight and one for your easyJet flight. 

Please remember to check the baggage allowance on both airlines to avoid paying for additional baggage when you get to the airport.

Once you land at Gatwick you'll need to head straight through border control and collect your bags from the baggage hall (just as you would if Gatwick was your final destination). Once you have your bags you can check them into your onward flight at the check in area for the airline you are connecting to Virgin Atlantic and easyJet are both located in the North Terminal at Gatwick, so connecting is easy.

As soon as you've checked your bags in you can breeze through security to catch your flight.

To select your seat on your Virgin Atlantic leg please log into My booking. For your easyJet flight you can purchase your seat when you book your flight, or by logging in to your booking, otherwise your seat will automatically be allocated when you check in.

Yes you can. If you have booked a Virgin Atlantic Economy Classic, Economy Delight, Premium or Upper Class fare your baggage is included, if you have booked Economy Light, you can purchase checked in baggage by logging into your booking. For your easyJet flight you can select a bag at booking, or log into your booking to purchase before you travel.
