Which points pool in the Household account?

All Virgin Points earned through Flying Club will go into the Household account automatically. Points earned through Virgin Red won’t, but if you’d rather have everything in one place, give us a call and we’ll move them across.

What are the benefits of a Household account?

We’ll give you an example...

If you and three members of your Household fly from London to Orlando and back travelling in Economy Classic, as Red tier members you could earn a whopping 17,372 points for your Household account.

With Saver reward seats starting at just 6,000 points, imagine where that could take you!*

*Taxes, fees and charges apply. The price of reward seats is variable and will be displayed at the time of booking. Seats at Saver price points are subject to availability and will not necessarily be available in every cabin or on every flight.

Household account FAQs

If your circumstances change within 12 months, please contact our customer centre and they can assist you with next steps.

When all Household members are unlinked from the Household account the current points balance will be kept by the Household leader. Points earned going forward by any unlinked member will go to their own balance.

To set up a Household account please log into your Flying Club account

As a Household member you will be able to see other members name, tier and points contributed and the leader will see your Flying Club number.

Only the Household leader can change the address and the address will change for all Household members.

Anyone can travel on a Household booking, you don't need to be part of the household.

Virgin Points that are earned directly via Virgin Atlantic or any Flying Club partner automatically pool in the Household account.

For example, if you’re a linked member and you’ve added your Flying Club to an upcoming booking, your Virgin Points will pool in the Household account automatically after you’ve flown. It’s the same for Virgin Atlantic Holidays, our airline partners, Virgin Atlantic Credit Cards (UK) and Shops Away.

However, points earned via Virgin Red won’t pool automatically. For example, if you’ve connected your Virgin Red ID to a partner such as Tesco’s, the points won’t transfer. If you want them to do so going forward, you can update your Tesco’s account to attach your Flying Club number. Similarly, Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard® transactions won’t go into the Household account.

If you want the points earned through Virgin Red to move across, you can request a transfer (see below).

Linked members can request a transfer to the Household account via the Customer Centre.

Note, only transactions that are earned by linked members whilst they are part of the Household account are eligible to be moved across and a maximum of one transfer per month can be made.
