As the wonderful Tokyo Olympic Games draw to a close, we are one step closer to the 2028 games which take place in one of our favourite cities - Los Angeles. This will be the first time the summer games have taken place in the USA in more than 30 years, and shines a spotlight on the City of Angels for the third time in its history, after previously hosting the prestigious event in 1932 and 1984. It's all a long way off, of course, with the Paris games to come first. But with LA's enormous contribution to the global sporting scene – including some homegrown sports that have been lighting up the games in Tokyo - it seems only fitting to mark the occasion with a look at what's on offer in and around the city.
