Excess baggage allowance offer

  • The scheme is valid on tickets issued in Upper, Premium, Economy Classic and Delight for outbound Virgin Atlantic flights, scheduled on or before 31st December 2024.
  • Any excess baggage over and above 87kg in Upper (2 x 32kg bags + 1 x 23kg bag) and 69kg (3 x 23kg bags) in Premium, Economy Classic and Delight will be charged with the applicable excess baggage fee
  • No checked in baggage is applicable if booked in Economy Light
  • It is mandatory for the students to show their valid student visa at the time of check in at the airport
  • Scheme is valid for students only. Not applicable for family members
  • This excess baggage offer shall be allowed only on the outbound journey and till first stopover point only
  • The student excess baggage allowance is only permitted on outbound Virgin Atlantic flights from India and Virgin Atlantic’s regular baggage allowance will apply on the return journey
  • In order to avail the excess baggage offer, the ticket should be issued in India and the journey should originate from India
  • The student excess baggage allowance will not be offered on flights operated by any other airline, even if they are part of the same booking or on a partner airline. Applicable only on true VS flights
