London Heathrow Airport

Due to the current terminal consolidation at London Heathrow, we will temporarily be operating our flights from Terminal 2

You’ll be able to check-in for your flight in zone D. There’s a one-way system in place, which will be clearly signposted when you arrive. Don’t worry — you’ll be able to spot us in our red uniforms and we’ll be there to provide any help you need.

To manage safe distancing, London Heathrow is only permitting those due to travel within the terminal, and are asking customers not to arrive more than 3 hours before their scheduled departure time.

We’re sorry to say we may not see all of your beautiful face when you arrive, since you’ll need to wear a mask at the airport. You’ll get one when you arrive, or you can bring your own if you prefer. The health, safety and wellbeing of our customers and our people remains our top priority. You can see everything we’re doing to make sure you can fly safe, and fly well with us here.

For more information on travelling to the airport, as well as the shops and restaurants you can find, click here for London Heathrow’s terminal guide. There’s currently a very limited range of shops and restaurants open with reduced hours, so please do plan ahead and bring food with you if you’d prefer or have specific dietary requirements.

We can’t wait to welcome you back as soon as possible to our much loved, award-winning home at Terminal 3, as soon as we possibly can. In the meantime, please make sure you check this page for the latest information before you travel to the airport.

Upper Class customers and Gold Flying Club members

From the 20th August, we’ll be delighted to offer our Upper Class, Gold Flying Club members and eligible customers of our partners access to the Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 2.

Plaza Premium has been awarded the prestigious SKYTRAX award for the World’s Best Independent Airport Lounge for three consecutive years. You can find it on level 4 in the Terminal 2 departure lounge. Just show your Upper Class boarding pass or Gold Flying Club card as usual to access the lounge.

The Virgin Atlantic team in check-in zone D will be happy to share more information on what is available in the Terminal, and answer any questions you may have. Please accept our apologies that we’re not able to offer our usual full Virgin Atlantic Upper experience at this time.

Thank you so much for your support and understanding, it means a lot to us right now. We can’t wait to reopen the doors to our award winning facilities throughout T3, from welcoming you through our Upper Class Wing, to serving you again in our flagship, much loved Clubhouse and Revivals very soon.

Los Angeles International Airport

Due to ongoing construction work at Los Angeles International Airport, there are some temporary changes to our terminal operations.

You’ll still find our check-in teams ready to welcome you to Terminal 2 as usual, along with security screening and the Terminal 2 departure lounge.

Once you’ve cleared security in Terminal 2, we’ll ask you to proceed to the gate, at which point we’ll provide shuttle busses for the short trip to Terminal B (Tom Bradley International Terminal), where our planes will be operating from. We strongly recommend you make the journey across to Terminal B as soon as you can after clearing security in Terminal 2.

Whilst our LAX Clubhouse unfortunately remains closed at this time, our colleagues will be very pleased to take care of Upper Class and Gold Flying Club customers in the Delta Sky Club on the mezzanine level of the Terminal 2 departure lounge. If you do intend to use the Delta Sky Club please ensure you make you way over to Terminal B at least an hour before the stated departure time.

If you have any questions, our teams will of course be available in Terminal 2 and on hand to assist.

When you arrive in to LAX with us, we’ll be disembarking at Terminal B in the Tom Bradley International Terminal. You’ll be able to collect your bags here, as well as clear Customs and Border Protection. It’s important to note that this is a different terminal to Terminal 2 that we depart from, so please make sure you let family and friends meeting you know in advance, or consider when making parking arrangements.

LAWA the airport authority runs a 24hr shuttle that circles the airports making stops at all of the terminals.

Manchester Airport

All flights departing from and arriving into Manchester Airport are temporarily operating from Terminal 1.

To manage safe distancing, Manchester Airport is only permitting those who have a flight booked, to enter the airport. As there is currently no overnight access into the terminal building, you’ll need to arrive no earlier than 3 hours before your flight.

Transferring at Manchester Airport: If you have a connecting flight, you will have to clear immigration and collect your luggage before connecting to your onward flight.

It’s important you arrive at the airport with a suitable face-covering. We’re sad we cannot see your lovely smile at check-in, but you must wear a face-covering throughout your journey in the airport.

All Upper Class and Gold cardholders will be able to make use of the Aspire Lounge that is located within Terminal 1. Read more about the Aspire Lounge.

Find more information on travelling to the airport, as well as the shops and restaurants, see Manchester’s terminal guide. There’s currently a very limited range of shops and restaurants open with reduced hours, so please do plan ahead and bring food with you if you’d prefer or have specific dietary requirements.

If you have any questions whilst at the airport, you’ll be able to spot our friendly airport team in their red uniforms, who will happy to assist you.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Miami International Airport

For our Upper Class and Gold Flying Club members traveling from Miami International Airport, many of the outlets, including lounges, remain temporarily closed given the lower than usual volumes passing through the airport.

We apologise that with the Delta Sky Club also currently closed, at this time there are unfortunately no lounge facilities open or available for our customers.

The Virgin Atlantic team at check-in will be happy to share more information on what is open in the terminal, and answer any questions you may have.
