What's the deal?

If you’re a member of our Flying Club, you can earn and spend your points by booking your next adventure online, in-store or over the phone. And that’s not all, you will also earn tier points on your Virgin Atlantic Holiday bookings* to help you reach Silver and Gold status quicker!

Earning Virgin Points

Flying Club members earn Virgin Points for booking with Virgin Atlantic Holidays*

If you are a Red Flying Club member you will earn 2 Virgin Points for every £ you spend on Virgin Atlantic Holidays or Virgin Atlantic Flight plus hotel.

If you are a Silver Flying Club member you will earn 3 Virgin Points for every £ you spend on Virgin Atlantic Holidays or Virgin Atlantic Flight plus hotel.

If you are a Gold Flying Club member you will earn 4 Virgin Points for every £ you spend on Virgin Atlantic Holidays or Virgin Atlantic Flight plus hotel.

Earning Tier Points

As a Flying Club member you will also earn 20 tier points for every £500 you spend on your Virgin Atlantic Holidays booking, up to a maximum of 400 Tier Points per trip* (this is on top of any tier points you earn if you book your holiday on a Virgin Atlantic or partner airline flight).

For example, if you spend £4000 on a holiday with Virgin Atlantic Holidays, flying on a Virgin Atlantic flight in Economy Classic you could earn up to 260 Tier Points* in total.

As a Flying Club member, you can also earn tier points when you fly with Virgin Atlantic as part of your holiday.  See the table below to see how this works:

Already got a holiday booked? That’s fine, simply head over to Manage My Booking and you can spend your points on paying off your outstanding balance.

Earning Tier Points on Virgin Atlantic Holidays:

  • Tier Points will be awarded to the lead name, on new bookings only. New bookings relate to bookings made from 9th November 2021.
  • Bookings must be made online at Virgin Atlantic Holidays, or Travelplus, or via the Virgin Holidays Customer Centre or via a Virgin Atlantic Holidays Retail store.
  • To qualify for Tier Points, you must add your Flying Club membership number to your booking. This can be done at the time of making your booking or prior to your holiday and either online, in person or on the phone.
  • Tier Points will only be allocated to the lead name of the booking.
  • Tier Points will be awarded on qualifying bookings for all product types. Everything must be booked together on one booking reference.
  • Tier Points will be earned on the total value of the booking. For bookings including flights, this includes the base fare and all taxes, fees, charges, and surcharges.
  • Tier points will not be awarded on change or cancellation fees.
  • Tier Points are earned in increments of 20 Points per £500 spend. For example, a £2,000 booking will earn 80 Tier Points. A £2,400 booking will also earn 80 Tier Points.
  • The maximum Tier Points awarded per booking is 400.
  • Tier Points will be awarded once travel has been completed. Tier Points will be added to the lead booker’s Flying Club Account up to 28 days after travel.
  • In addition, all Flying Club members on the booking will earn Tier Points on any eligible flight based on the booking class they travel in. Check how Tier Points work here.
  • Offer may be amended or withdrawn at any time without prior notice.

Earning Virgin Points on Virgin Holidays:

  • Any Virgin Atlantic Holidays bookings made prior to 9th November 2021 will receive the previous Flying Club discount. In addition, the lead booker will earn Virgin Points at a rate of 1 point per £1 for Red members, and 2 points per £1 for Silver and Gold members.
  • If the member chooses to make a change to a booking made prior to 9th November 2021, the Flying Club discount will not apply to the new cost of the holiday. The lead booker will earn Virgin Points at the previous rate of 1 point per £1 for Red members, and 2 points per £1 for Silver and Gold members.
  • For a booking made prior to 9th November 2021, where an operational change is made by Virgin Atlantic Holidays, the Flying Club discount will be honoured. The lead booker will earn Virgin Points at the previous rate of 1 point per £1 for Red members, and 2 points per £1 for Silver and Gold members.
  • The Flying Club discount will not be applicable to any Virgin Atlantic Holidays bookings made from the 9th November 2021.
  • For bookings made from 9th November 2021, the lead booker will earn Virgin Points at a rate of:
    • 2 points per £1 for Red members
    • 3 points per £1 for Silver members 
    • 4 points per £1 for Gold members

Virgin Atlantic Holidays Points Plus Money:

  • Points Plus Money (PPM) can be applied against Virgin Atlantic Holidays package holidays, Flight + Hotel, FlyDrive, and Car and Hotel only bookings made on the Virgin Atlantic Holidays and Flight + Hotel websites.
  • PPM can be redeemed at the time of booking through the website on the ‘guest page’ or after the booking has been made through Manage My Booking (MMB).
  • PPM can be used towards the entire booking, including the deposit and balance due.
  • Once redeemed PPM are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • The Flying Club member whose points are being redeemed must be the lead name on the booking and must travel.
  • There is no maximum limit on the number of points that are redeemed against a Virgin Holiday booking.
  • Virgin Atlantic Holidays standard booking terms and conditions apply.
  • When booking by phone or in a Virgin Atlantic Holidays dedicated store, a non-refundable booking fee applies.
  • When you pay you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate. Please ask for it and check to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotel and other services) is listed on it.
