Flying Club Silver members will be able to select their seat in Economy Light, Classic and Delight from seven days prior to departure, rather than 24 hours prior to departure for non-Flying Club members. This covers everyone travelling on your booking.
Of course, members can secure their seat earlier, with lots of options to pay for their preferred seat, or upgrade a seat any time in My Booking – you can continue to do this with your Virgin Points.

All Flying Club Red and non-members are able to choose their seats for free in all Economy classes within 24 hours of departure.

What has changed?
Previously as a Silver Flying Club member, you could assign a seat free of charge when booking in Economy Classic or Delight for yourself only, even when travelling with multiple passengers on the booking.
This is now free of charge within seven days of departure, for all Economy bookings, for everyone travelling on the booking.
You can still pay to assign a seat any time any time from the time of booking.
If I don’t assign a seat at the time of booking, do I have to wait until 7 days before departure to assign one for free?
