Staying Gold

Earning at least 1,000* Tier Points in a year will renew your Gold status, so as an extra reward for staying Gold, you'll be able to treat someone to a companion ticket. And if you’ve been a Gold member for ten consecutive years and earned 7,500 Tier Points on Virgin Atlantic flights in that time, you’ll be made a Gold member for life. 

* From 1st April 2022 - 31st March 2023 800 Tier Points are required.

How many points will you earn on Virgin Atlantic flights

If you're a Gold member, you'll receive the same number of points as a Red member plus a 60% bonus. So you just need to apply the ticket percentage to the base flown miles, and then add another 30%. This is what that might look like:
