Las Vegas restaurant

Morning

Given that Vegas is one food-loving town, you can bet that, from breakfast to dinner, you’ll be eating well — very well. Begin as you mean to go on at The Venetian, which is host to Bouchon: a restaurant run by the three Michelin-starred chef Thomas Keller. Breakfast and brunch are a thoroughly Gallic affair here, with plates ranging from the light (smoked salmon with a freshly baked baguette) to the wonderfully indulgent (a terrine of fois gras). Before you head out, swing by the two Bouchon Bakery outposts in the Venetian, where you can grab a sachet of vibrant macarons — or a TKO, Keller’s much-beloved take on the Oreo cookie — to go.

Afternoon

Don’t forget that, while the Strip is host to some of Vegas’s most famous eateries, there’s more to Sin City than what you’ll find along this four-mile stretch. Use your afternoon to venture beyond the Strip on a food-themed quest. Downtown Las Vegas has plenty to offer by way of culinary attractions. Head to the quirky Downtown Container Park, a complex made of upcycled shipping containers, that’s host to boutique shops, live entertainment, and plenty of tasty eats. Pinches Tacos is your stop for carnitas and asada tacos (complete with homemade tortillas), while Simply Pure keeps things light with an array of raw, vegan dishes. Hit the Black Cup for your daily caffeine dose, or finish things off with a glass or two of West Coast wine at Bin 702.

Evening

After your relaxed lunch Downtown, make your way back to the Strip and prepare for a glittering evening out: you can’t say you’ve experienced all that Vegas has to offer without a meal in one of its stellar fine dining restaurants. Head back to your room to freshen up — and dress up — before indulging in a pre-prandial cocktail at Bound at The Cromwell: a decadent drinking-den with a cocktail menu created by Salvatore Calabrese, a legendary mixologist who’s best known for creating the Breakfast Martini (even though it’s evening, you’re allowed to order the marmalade-infused number). After that, it’s time for the meal of a lifetime at Joël Robuchon Restaurant, a temple of French fine dining at the MGM Grand. A meal here begins with Ossetra caviar served atop king crab and ends with desserts like mango and fleur de sel caramel mousse. And because it is Las Vegas, you’ll want to go for the wine pairings, too.
