Online check in

The best way to check in is online where you can pick your seat and print your boarding card. If you’re travelling with carry on baggage only, you can print off your own boarding pass and we’ll see you at the gate. Alternatively, you may use our automated self service kiosks at the airport. You'll find them in Zone A and they're open between 05.30 and 22.30.

Gatwick airport has a family room equipped with amazing soft play areas and games rooms available for free, so you can let the kids enjoy themselves whilst you sit back with a well-deserved cuppa.

What time should I arrive at the airport?

Leave those last-minute airport dashes to the big screen! We recommend that you arrive at least two hours before your flight is due to leave.

Counter check in and bag drop

You’ll find our desks in Zone A of the North Terminal. Check in starts from four hours before departure. If your flight is in the early hours, you may drop your bags off the night before. All passengers will need to be present for this option. Twilight check in is available from 17.00 to 21.00 - please note, there is no dedicated Premium desk.

Getting to and from the airport

The airport is linked directly to the M23 motorway and the A23 from London to Brighton.

Taxi

Airport taxis are available in arrivals.

Bus and coach
National Express services connect the airport with destinations around the UK. Metrobus provide services to local destinations.

Train
Gatwick Airport railway station has regular trains to London and destinations throughout the south east. The Gatwick Express is the fastest way to London Victoria.

If you're travelling to the airport by train, the railway station is connected to the South Terminal. As our flights leave from the North Terminal you'll need to catch the inter-terminal shuttle. This takes just a few minutes and runs 24/7.
